Anna Burrows began her Ceramics journey at Wells College while pursuing her undergraduate degree. Her art reflects the connection between functionality and creativity expression. She is fascinated by both organic textures and patterns found in nature. Anna finds true joy when she allows the clay to flow between her fingers. The grooves, carvings, and colors are always experimental, and incredibly cathartic. She loves to learn new techniques, challenging herself to try new, larger, and more complicated pieces. Anna’s life has been filled with intrepid experiences, pushing herself to attempt as much as she can. She is an amateur carpenter, electrician, and plumber--building her own house, including a home for Grumpy Goat Pottery’s studio. Anna refurbished a 60 year old kiln that she now uses to fire her unique pottery. She is always open for a new adventure!
